April Fissell utilizes her knowledge of speech pathology and her solid foundation of the bel canto method learned from some of the greatest living masters to help students find their true voice.

April began her voice studio as a college student and has successfully helped students hone their technique, prepare for auditions and vocal programs and become confident, healthy, and expressive singers. April has a degree in Voice and Theater from the University of Washington with a minor in Speech Pathology. While at the University, she worked closely with Wesley Balk and she uses many of his teaching techniques to allow students to discover more freedom in performance.

Ms. Fissell has studied and coached with such greats as internationally renowned tenor David Romano, W. Steven Smith (Julliard, Houston Grand Opera), Mary Curtis Verna (Metropolitan Opera), Richard Bado (Metropolitan Opera) and Bill Vendiche (Los Angeles Opera). She has also studied and performed at the world famous Aspen Music Festival and School, spent a year in Europe learning languages and studying at the prestigious Voice and Speech Centre. Ms. Fissell currently teaches a private studio of 
students ranging in age from eight years old to seventy and teaches the 
voice class for the West Coast Ensemble conservatory.
